A NOTE FROM DR. PATEL

“Facial plastic surgery is achievable in all ethnicities. I tailor my approach to the patient by combining your needs, my personal experience, and the latest techniques available.”

About Dr. Neil N. Patel

Precision shaped by training, artistry, and identity.

Dr. Neil N. Patel obtained his medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating Alpha Omega Alpha, the highest academic honor. He then obtained surgical training at UCSF in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery. During his tenure, he received the Krevans Award and the UCSF Exceptional Physician Award.

He was then selected for the highly coveted Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic (#2 Hospital in the World). Here he trained under Dr. Patrick Byrne (past president of the American Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery) and Dr. Michael Fritz. His training spans the entire spectrum of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face.

Beyond the Operating Room

The details that shape the surgeon.

01

Humanitarian Efforts

Care is not only technical — it is relational. Dr. Patel’s volunteers his time to provide cleft lip / palate and reconstructive rhinoplasty. His humanitarian efforts in Ica, Peru and Hermosillo, Mexico reflects a belief that surgical expertise should meet people with dignity, access, and cultural humility.

02

Ceramics / Sculpting

Working with form, contour, and negative space outside the clinic sharpens the same visual discipline that guides facial surgery: restraint, proportion, and respect for the original structure. I spent time in the ceramics studio to relax and unwind. It's much messier than the OR, but just as fun to make something beautiful that functions well in everyday life.

03

Research

Research keeps the work honest. I have published more than 40 peer-reviewed articles on various surgical topics. I have also authored 3 book chapters. Pushing the frontier for our patients is my passion.
